I can't believe that we have been here six weeks already!! The time really has flown by! That is a good thing though. :) We have been keeping busy and enjoying the country. We are looking forward to Michelle getting here tonight so we can explore some more with her. There is lots to see so we will be busy the next 2 weeks!!
Today we walked down to the park to ride the horses. Danni has been asking for the last couple of days to go. The park was quite quiet. Maybe 1/3 of the vendors were there. We didn't have to wait in line for a horse ride. :) They had a new guy guiding the horses. He really didn't know what he was doing - the horse kept trying to stop and eat! (See picture - it was Hayden!) They were short kids today. It appears to be a family thing and typically there are 6 -7 kids there helping but today there were only 2 and the father was gone. Parents had to walk their kids around the park on the horse! I tipped Hayden but he didn't think that was too funny!! :)
From the park we walked to the mall. That place was crazy! We were told that things would be closed but not the mall! I think the whole city was there and everyone was eating ice-cream! Seriously! Almost everyone had a cone including my kids! It was a hot day but another theory could be because they can't have a cold beer - election day! From the mall we walked to Megamaxi and that too was crazy!! Then we walked the rest of the way home which was quiet - not much traffic most everything closed. We walked a big circle and I would guess that it was about 5 miles! Danni did it with out one complaint but when we got to the apartment he actually sat down in the elevator! He said he was tired!! Me too! We were hot too as this really has been one of the warmest days here. I would say mid 70's.
It was a fun day! Everyone should sleep well tonight!!
