Cajita Feliz!

Which means a Happy Meal at McDonalds! Yes, even in Ecuador! Emma's trip is complete. She found a McDonalds and had a happy Meal!! We have seen a couple McDonalds when we are in taxis but none around us. We decided to try another mall that was near by and guess what.....they have one! Emma was elated!! She was practically running through the food court looking for it. Danni could of cared less...after he ate a few bites of chicken nuggets he asked for pan - bread in Spanish. That is his favorite food. The pan here is delicious!! It is fresh baked and comes in many different shapes and sizes! He will eat a large bun every meal!!!
It was a georgous day here! Sun all day - no rain!! We all got out and walked over 3 miles to get to this other mall. It was just too nice to take a taxi. In addition to McDonalds Emma was pretty happy that dad came along today because she got a stuffed animal and a book! They had a HUGE toy store in this mall and when we approached the back of the store it was covered in stuffed animals which is Emma's favorite. Hayden's only words when he saw the display was "this is gonna cost me"! They each got a stuffed animal. Dad is such a sucker!! We also found a book store so Hayden had to go in there. They did have a pretty decent Enlgish area but everything was very expensive. Emma is almost out of reading books so she did pick something out and Danni got a color book.
Still just hanging out hoping for an early decision! This Saturday our summer babysitter Michelle is flying in and staying for a few weeks. She is a Spanish major in college. She will babysit both Emma and Danni in addition to helping Danni with his English this summer. Her finals are done on Friday. She said she can hardly wait to get here. It will be nice for me too....Hayden is main Spanish speaker and I kind of just get by with taxi drivers and at stores. Now with her we can totally adventure out!!! I am excited to take her back to a few places that we have already visited especially Otovalo market where we get to shop!!
Have a great night/day depending on when you read this!! Mari
